Purpose

The purpose of this website is to make a page for the Mizzou Club Sports organization I am a part of. This is an organization based through the Mizzou Rec, however isn't very well known throughout campus, therefore I believe that a website that can be shared among social media will make the club/organization more seen among current and prospective Mizzou students. This website will also be a source of information for our team members, keeping the team up to date on events in the near future, results from previous events, order forms, and news throughout the nation regarding shotgun sports and other teams.

Audience

There is multiple audiences this website is for. The current members of the team, the prospective members of the teams, and other teams we compete with around the country. Hopefully we can manage to have a site that appeals to all of these audiences as we need to keep our current members up to date with all information, as well as spread the word of our organization to new students or those current students unaware of the organization. This site is also for other teams to visit to be able to find out details on our hosted events and sign up.

Questions

Interview Response Summaries

To answer the first question most people stated that upcoming events, team funds, fundraising goals, apparel orders, deadline dates are important to have on the website. It also would need an active description of what we do in events and practice for those who are not members. Both future and past events are important, as future deadlines have to be met for registration, but it is also important to see the results of how the team or individuals did in previous events. Everyone who was interviewed thought it would be a great idea to include active members' names as well as their contact info as sometimes it has been hard in the past to get in touch with one another without having to go through multiple people. They thought that this site would be used frequently if it was up to date, and had all the necessary information to bypass all resources we normally use. Lastly, when talking to non-members we thought it would be a great idea to have an active description of what the organization is as some people didn't know what the shotgun club was or just misinterpreted it in general.

Content

This will be an outline of the content for the website due to what we have collected in responses from members of the team as well as other people who have never heard of the organization

Who Are We: This is going to be a description of what the Mizzou Shotgun Club is as a whole, and what we participate in as an organization. This will include background information such as when we were founded, where we practice at, and what the membership dues/requirements are every year.

Results: This is going to be a page with a list of recent events we participated in along with the results of how the team did in the entire competition along with the results of how individuals placed as well.

Upcoming Events: This will include all the future events we have the opportunity to participate in, as well as the deadline dates to sign up for that event, the limit of people we can take to that event, the description of the event, and the costs going along with the event.

Meet the Team: Create a page with the contact info and minor details on our active members of the club along with a picture to go along with the name.

Team Shop: This will include order information for team apparel, deadlines on orders, and prices per each item.

Presentation of Information

This webpage will be simple and easy to follow for the user visiting

Media

The banner logo will contain a Missouri tiger logo, however has to follow specific guidelines as we aren't a Mizzou Athletic organization, therefore we have specific regulations on what mizzou logos we can use to represent the team. Other than that, the photos will be of individuals on the team, and medals we have received, and possibly of our shotguns, as long as we have consent from the team members. We will include statements by all photos stating "any use of these images are prohibited without permission of the club", as well as "all pictures are original and our own."

Color Scheme and Rational

Since this represents the Mizzou Tigers Shotgun Club, our color scheme be represented by black, gold, and white. Gold will be our background, with black text for the most part making it easy to follow the page, there will also be a secondary color choice of orange as the clays we shoot are orange. I don't plan on making the website to complex therefore there shouldn't be additional color usage than that.
